TSO Executive Committee Meeting 2/1/2008

This post is the first, hopefully of many, that will detail the activities of the TSO through Spring 2008 and beyond.

My suggestion to each of the members of the various units of the TSO is to create a seperate blog for each unit and post to there for updates within that Unit.

This blog http://tsoexecutive.blogspot.com/ is tentatively created to deal with issues that are internal to the TSO, it is therefore private to the TSO Executive members. Student members of the TSO can visit each of the various public TSO Unit Blogs to get updates on each Unit's activities.

Each TSO Unit should assign the responsibility of creating and maintaining its blog to one of its members, while ALL members of the TSO Executive Committee are responsible for keeping up to date with TSO related blogs. This will be the primary form of communication, with Exec Committee meetings taking place when pending decisions need to be addressed as a group. Given that meetings have proven difficult in the past because we each operate under varying degrees of academic commitment, the blog may be the place where you can offer your opinion on a matter if you are not able to make a meeting.

Beyond that, I'd just like to welcome each of the new members and encourage each of us to get started on TSO related activities as soon as possible.
